Take I
20/59 to I 459 through Birmingham.

Then take
I 20 toward Atlanta.

Go through
Georgia and into South Carolina.

Take I 95
to exit Hwy. 70 E (*make sure NOT to
take the business Hwy. 70)

Stay on
Hwy. 70 E until you get into Havelock
and intersect with Hwy. 101.

Take a
left onto Hwy. 101 (at the intersection
there will be a drug store on the right
and a Ford dealership on the left across
the street).

Follow
Hwy. 101 towards Beaufort. After you
pass over a very large bridge in Sea
Gate (intercostals waterway) about a
mile up the road you will pass a Parker
boat manufacturing place on left and
will come to a BP on the right.

Take a
left onto Laurel rd across from the BP
(if you pass BP you passed Laurel Road).

Follow
Laurel Road until a T-intersection and
go right onto Merrimon Road.

Follow
Merrimon Road until you reach a stop
light (a high school will be on the
right) take a left at light (this will
be Hwy. 70 E again).

Follow
Hwy. 70 for several miles, you will pass
over several little bridges with
BEAUTIFUL water all around!! When you
reach an intersection with a BP take a
right onto Harkers Island Road (there
will be signs for ferry to Cape
Lookout).

Follow
Harkers Island Road for a few miles and
when you see a street sign indicating a
fork in the road to the left—take the
fork to the left and this will put you
onto Straits Road.

Take your
first PAVED road on the right, Landing
Road and follow all the way to the end
(the road will turn from paved to
gravel). My dad’s house is the 2nd from
the last house on the road, Gray with
lots of landscaping and gardens. 270
